WATCH SGT Paul Roberts on Chinook Helicopter with Care Packages -Bagram Afghanistan
WATCH US Army SGT Paul Roberts with 11 years of service, with Ft Hoods 7th Battalion 158th Aviation Regiment. SGT Roberts takes us out to a Chinook Helicopter at Bagram Air Field Afghanistan where he shares about himself and why he is gathering items from care packages and taking them on air missions to remote outposts. They take them to troops who do not have a PX or a DFAC. Some with no running water, bathrooms or electricity. He and his crew spent 24 hours at one of these outposts and as a result of their experience he decided to do what he could to help get them items they could really benefit from. He put out a call to his friend, a retired Marine with the VFW in Austin, TX and they in turn sent his request to other VFW posts across Texas. The boxes he shows are from VFW members, SoldiersAngels.org, Constant Band Troop Support, Operation Marshmallow, The Jelly Belly Company, Bunker In Baghdad, Troop Support Foundation and more. SGT Roberts Unit includes Army Reservists from Olathe, Kansas, Maryland and Texas, Maryland National Guard and New York and Troops based in Honduras, Korea, Ft Eustise, LA
