For those who listened to the First Iraq Tour Interviews one of the places we were at then was Al Qaim, Iraq which was recently reported from by Ollie North on Fox News about the progress that has been made in that area. 1stLT Giswald, IstLT Ives, SFC Haggerty and Major Bastian who we interviewed on our second trip, they were also part of the MITT Team that trained the Iraqi Army in Al Qaim.
1stLT Giswald gave us a tour of Camp Kassum. As at Camp Dixie in Al Qaim, 1stLT Giswald was appointed the Mayor of Camp Kassum. As as Al Qaim they are embedded with the Iraqi Army at Camp Kassum. On this interview he explains what he showed us at the Camp.

Following the Iraqis as we go to another Iraqi Army Post
1stLt Ives
1stLT Ives described for America what we were seeing as we went with the Iraqi Army on an inspection convoy from one Iraqi Post to Another. This convoy included going back to places we had been with, with the Mariines in Rawah. The Iraqi Army Officer was checking with his Army troops on any issues they might have on food, clothes, health issues, pay issues and more.
We visited and taped the Join Command Center (JCC) where the Marines, 34th BCT MITT Team, Iraqi Army and Iraqi Police all work together.

SFC Haggerty
SFC Haggerty also explained as we went from Iraqi Post to Post what we were seeing and what was happening.

Major Bastian
Major Bastian was interviewed a number of times at Camp Kassum and while we were at the different Iraqi Posts. He talked about being in Al Qaim training the Iraqi Army and then all of them being transferred to Rawah, Iraq. He talked about what it was like in Rawah when they first arrived with the Iraqi Army Battalian and what it is like now and all the tremendous progress.
Major Bastian introduced us to the Iraqi Army Officer who we later interviewed.
On The Convoy we went on at the last Out Post we were treated by the Iraqi Army Officer and his Staff to a delicious meal. On the video we were able to film the food on the table. It was an incredible experience eating this great food with the MITT team and the Iraqi Army.
Jim and I are very grateful to the Marines, to the 34BCT MITT Team and to the Iraqis for their hospitality.

Interviewing Major Bastian
Iraqi Army Officer
We were invited to the Iraqi Command Headquarters with Major Bastian and his MITT Team and were able to talk on camera with the Iraqi Army Officer who led the Inspection Convoy and who was in command of the Iraqi Battalion while Col Mohammed (who I met in October 2006 in Al Qaim) was on leave.
The Iraqi Army Officer talked about working together with the MITT Team and the Marines. He talked about the progress that has been made and he said that they were close to taking over completely the area.
He talked to all of us here in America expressing his thanks to the American people.
As with all the interviews on our Second tour this the Iraqi Army Officer has a message all of America should hear.

Delicious Meal served by the Iraqi Army Commander and his staff for us and the 34th BCT MITT Team.

Colonel Renforth
Colonel Renforth very appropriately was our final interview on our second tour in Iraq. Col. Renforth has been in the Marines for 25 years. He has been an Officer for 19 years.
He and his family recently moved to Monument, Colorado.
Colonel Renforth was one of the first Marines we met when we arrived in Rawah, Iraq. He is the Battalian Commander in command of the entire area. We thought we were going to be able to interview Colonel Renforth right away but it was very appropriate that he agreed to talk with us and you the American people at the end of our tour after we had talked with so many who are under his Command.
Colonel Renforth talked proudly of his Marines and of the successes they have
made in training the Iraqis and of the progress that has been made in Rawah, Iraq and the area since they arrived.

AS WITH ALL TALKING WITH HEROES INTERVIEWS SINCE WE BEGAN THIS PROGRAM IN DEC. 2006, ALL OF THE FIRST AND SECOND IRAQ TOUR INTERVIEWS WILL BE KEPT IN ARCHIVES LONG AFTER THEY HAVE AIRED ON THE INTERNET ON THEIR SUNDAY NIGHT DATES.
WE INVITE ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE LISTENED TO PLEASE LET AS MANY PEOPLE WHO YOU KNOW AND COME IN CONTACT WITH ABOUT THESE INTERVIEWS.
WE WILL GO BACK TO BRING MORE OF THESE STORIES FROM OUR BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN SERVING IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN!
ONE OF THE PROMISES THAT WE MADE TO MANY OF THOSE WE MET AND INTERVIEWED IS THAT WE WOULD DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO GET THEIR STORIES OUT TO BE HEARD BY MILLIONS OF AMERICANS.
